MiniMax Agent is a technically excellent but under-marketed product. It suffers from indifference, not dislike.
The self-evolution loop is genuinely novel — M2.7 builds its own skills, updates memory, and improves its harness. This is more than marketing.
Chinese users see it as "the engineer's tool" — niche but powerful. Western users are curious but haven't switched en masse.
The Hermes/OpenClaw integration (MaxHermes, MM Claw) shows MiniMax is betting on the open agent ecosystem — not fighting it.
MiniMax Agent is a dark horse in the AI agent race. The technology is there — top-tier benchmarks, real agent autonomy, self-evolution. But the go-to-market is a mess.
